The Association des Concerts de Payerne invites its audiences to a series of extended concerts celebrating J.S. Bach's St. John Passion.
Each year, the musical tradition of Leipzig in Bach's time is perpetuated in the heart of the town of Payerne with the performance of a Passion for Good Friday Vespers, with more contemporary works added as required. Conductor Jean-David Waeber leads a version of the Passion with six vocal soloists and the instrumentalists of the Capella Paterniacensis, inaugurating the series.
