Reverse graffiti
A performance event combining urban art and rural tradition.
From August 12 to 18, as part of the 10th anniversary of the Pont de la Poya in Fribourg.
Over the course of a week, three Fribourg illustrators revisited the poya/rindya repertoire using reverse graffiti. They used scrubbers to clean and reveal their drawings on a 96 meter long wall at the foot of the Pont de la Poya. Around an ephemeral Fribourg refreshment bar, their artistic performance was punctuated by three mixed cyclo-concerts - each in its own way playing with the musical traditions of our canton.
By bringing together cultural actors in this unusual setting, this popular and lively experience celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Poya Bridge, in collaboration with the DIME (Direction du développement territorial, des infrastructures, de la mobilité et de l'environnement de l'État de Fribourg) and the Direction de l'Édilité de la Ville de Fribourg. We would like to thank the many partners who made this exceptional artistic project possible.
Reverse graffiti is a gentle and above all reversible appropriation of public space. The fresco will remain visible for several months/years, fading gently over time as the surface of the wall is re-sedimented.
To discover it, go to Route des Neigles 50, 1700 Fribourg - at the foot of the Pont de la Poya.
