Open house at the artist residence
The Compagnie Minuit moins une is in residence for artistic research at L'Atelier this fall! Meet the artists on November 14.
Minuit moins une is a physical theater company founded by Fanny Déglise and Mathi Le Coultre in January 2024. The company places particular emphasis on the artistic research process, paying as much attention to the themes explored as to the ways in which they are created and shared. They seek to highlight stories and subjects that are usually relegated to the background, giving them a central place in their art.
In residence from October 6 to 10 and then from October 27 to November 14 at L'Atelier, the company will focus on the seemingly everyday and mundane aspect of public toilets. Entre quatre murs – Les toilettes comme page blanche pour nos imaginaires (Between Four Walls – Toilets as a Blank Page for Our Imagination) proposes to recontextualize these places as spaces for social performance and reflection, criticism, and resistance. Far from being merely functional places, public toilets reveal complex and often forgotten dynamics.
