The wandering knight: from the Grütli meadow to Fribourg
The wandering knight is a performance work that is both strange and intimate. Abraham Poincheval proposes to walk through several significant sites that contributed to the formation of the Confederation. He will depart from the Grütli meadow to reach Fribourg, clad in a medieval suit of armour weighing over 30 kilos. The knight appears to have stepped straight out of a distant and foundational tale. He is the catalyst of a landscape where periods overlap and stories intertwine: between memories, histories, myths and legends.
