The cheese "Gottéron", originally from the district of Sarine, has a soft taste and a very fine paste.
The Agricultural Institute of Grangeneuve began to make this cheese in 1978 already. His name is due, on the one hand, to the Gottéron valley and, on the other hand, to the hockey club, HC Friborg Gottéron. The Gottéron has a mild, frank but discrete, slightly acid taste, becoming more typed with ripening time (between 6 to 8 weeks). It is enjoyed all year round and is perfectly accompanied by a cheese platter. It can also be used as raclette cheese or as an aperitif, with cereal bread.
