The Bible + Orient Museum explores the civilizations of the Near East, revealing the objects and cultures that influenced biblical texts.
The BIBLE+ORIENT Museum in Fribourg links biblical texts to the ancient civilizations of the Near East through a rich collection of over 400 artifacts. Visitors can discover Canaanite, Egyptian, Oriental and Greco-Roman cultures, with objects tracing daily life and the emergence of agriculture, crafts and writing. The museum also explores the foundations of the three monotheistic religions and their transmission through synagogues, churches and mosques.
Guided tours and immersive workshops allow visitors to handle ancient seals for an interactive and instructive experience.
