Canada Suisse invites you to its official meal at the restaurant Le Tsalè in honour of our friend Raoul Colliard.
In partnership with Marielle Colliard, owner of the iconic LE TSALE restaurant in Les Paccots/Châtel-St-Denis, our Canada Switzerland organisation will be staging its official 2025 meal in tribute to our friend Raoul Colliard, who recently passed away.
Having ‘fallen in love’ with Canada, Raoul and his daughters perpetuated a sincere friendship between our two friendly countries.
In 2015, Raoul and his daughter Marielle stirred up more than a thousand of their famous cheese fondue as part of the ‘Montréal en Lumières’ festival, where Switzerland was the guest of honour. They were truly impressed by the extraordinary welcome they received from Quebecers and Swiss living in Quebec. It has to be said that the former Swiss Consul General in Montreal, Beat Kaser, had not done things by halves. The atmosphere was superb. It was an experience they will treasure forever.
The meal was accompanied by two excellent wines from ‘Artisans Vignerons d'Yvorne’ and ‘Maison Maye’ in Riddes.
To finish, a maple whisky liqueur from Sortilège will whet your taste buds for good.
