Once a year, Estavayer-le-Lac plays host to a race of a very special kind, combining sport, laughter, fancy dress and a chance to explore the medieval town.
Once a year, in December, several hundred runners in 24 categories take part in the Christmas Cup. The youngest runners, the "poussins", have the chance to run alongside Father Christmas. A special race for people with disabilities and a disguised relay add a touch of magic to every stride.
