There are still a number of working farms in Cheyres-Châbles. This farm path was created to shed light on this relatively unknown heritage.
Approximately 11 kilometres long, the circuit links some of the family farms in the municipality which are presented to walkers by means of information boards. Information posts installed by the Swiss Farmers’ Union together with the themed and environmental boards of the Western Swiss Agricultural Information Agency (AGIR) also allow walkers to learn more about the numerous facets of the local agriculture while admiring the beautiful views. Epicureans will even be able to take home a selection of delicious farm products available from the different points of sale scattered along the circuit.
The farm footpath is accessible all year round. However, the crop information panels are renewed each spring to reflect the annual crop rotation.
