The ArtiChoke urban art itinerary brings together 37 contemporary works in Estavayer-le-Lac and the surrounding region, inviting you to an original artistic discovery between heritage and creation.
Embark on a journey through an open-air art gallery where heritage meets contemporary creation. The ArtiChoke urban art trail takes you to the heart of the medieval town of Estavayer-le-Lac, before inviting you to explore the surrounding villages through a unique artistic route.
Mural paintings, sculptures, casts, and installations punctuate the streets, squares, and landscapes, offering a fresh perspective on the territory. As you stroll along, the artworks interact with the historic architecture, nature, and public spaces, creating as many surprises as places for contemplation.
The trail continues through Cheyres, Gletterens, Russy, Avenches, as well as through the project “13 Villages, 13 Faces,” which weaves an artistic link between several municipalities in the region. Each stop reveals a new facet of the territory and invites you to take the time to discover its cultural riches.
Accessible year-round, on foot or by bike, the route can be explored freely thanks to a map available at the Tourist Office. This map features the artworks, artists, and various points of interest. Guided tours are also offered to better understand the history of the creations and their integration into the landscape.
