Fribourg Tourism and Region is a private non-profit association. It is part of the regional tourism organizations (OTR) of the Canton of Fribourg and is a member of Swiss Tourism.

The tasks of Fribourg Tourism and Region:

•  reception and tourist assistance
• the enhancement of the natural, historical, cultural and traditional wealth of the area of activity
• the exploitation, the signaling or the surveillance of public equipments which promote the tourist expansion and the stay of the hosts
• the organization of the animation of tourist interest
• participation in tourism promotion and information provided at the regional level
• coordinating and executing regional tourism marketing activities.
• to ensure the development of a tourism based on the quality of the welcome and compatible with the aspirations of the hosts and the population
