Fribourg Tourism and Region is a private non-profit association. It is part of the regional tourism organizations (OTR) of the Canton of Fribourg and is a member of Swiss Tourism.
The tasks of Fribourg Tourism and Region:
- reception and tourist assistance
- the enhancement of the natural, historical, cultural and traditional wealth of the area of activity
- the exploitation, the signaling or the surveillance of public equipments which promote the tourist expansion and the stay of the hosts
- the organization of the animation of tourist interest
- participation in tourism promotion and information provided at the regional level
- coordinating and executing regional tourism marketing activities.
- to ensure the development of a tourism based on the quality of the welcome and compatible with the aspirations of the hosts and the population
