Kaeserberg transforms
From November 4, 2024, Kaeserberg will be transformed to offer you a new visitor experience.
During this period, Kaeserberg will be closed.
The reopening is scheduled for spring 2025.
You will be transported back to a sunny autumn day in the 90s, it's Friday at 11 am; this is the setting for a network of Swiss model railways from the 90s. The network and the imaginary landscape of an idyllic and typical Switzerland, reflect reality as closely as possible.
The miniature model railway network consists of 300 locomotives, 1'650 wagons, 6'500 figures and many other elements that embellish a German-Swiss and Grisons landscape. Scenes from everyday life, a magical atmosphere at night and a multitude of details will enchant young and old alike.
No fewer than four railway lines operate in the Kaeserberg region, where three companies - SBB (Swiss Federal Railways), RhB (Rhaetian Railway) and KBB (Kaeserberg Railway) - are active in the Kaeserberg mountain region. The facility was built on 3 levels on a scale of 1:87 and has a total of 2045 meters of tracks.

Which child has never dreamed of driving a locomotive? At Kaeserberg this is possible! Step into a real locomotive driver's cab equipped with a driving simulator. Get an introduction to the world of train control and the complex technology behind it. This instruction requires a reservation in advance.
"Röstigraben" simulator offer
40-minute experience for CHF 50 per person. One-time fee, network tour not included.
"Hans" simulator offer
A 3-hour initiation for one or two persons at a price of CHF 485. Visit of the network offered to two accompanying persons on the day of the initiation.
