Experience an unforgettable moment as you hike through the mountains at the first light of dawn and witness nature awakening from the summit of Pralet.
Guided by Alain Peter, an experienced and passionate mountain guide, this hike will allow you to witness a spectacular display of colours just before sunrise. The morning concludes with a delicious breakfast at the Auberge des Joncs.
Programme - Saturday, 8 August 2026
4:30 : Meet at the Les Vérollys car park, opposite the ski lift ticket office
4:40 : Departure of the hike from the car park
6:00 : Arrival at the summit of Pralet
6:20 : Sunrise, accompanied by hot drinks

8:10 : Gourmet breakfast at the Auberge des Joncs

Technical information:
- Route: Loop
- Distance: 6.2 km
- Elevation gain: ± 450 m
- Duration: Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes
The route follows hiking trails as well as gravel and paved paths (T1 difficulty level). A good physical condition is required, as some of the climbs are fairly steep. The schedule is designed for regular hikers (approximately 380m of elevation gain in 1h20).
Recommended equipment:
- Good hiking shoes
- Clothing suitable for the weather conditions and temperatures
- Headlamp
- Sunglasses for watching the sunrise
- Water and a light snack before breakfast
- Spare shoes and socks (to be left in your vehicle), as dew and tall grass may leave your feet wet
Dogs are not allowed.
