Tackle the summit of the Niremont and enjoy a 360° view! A family-friendly walk under the caring eye of the Teysachaux and the Dent de Lys summits.
The path includes some pretty viewpoints over the Fribourg and Vaud mountains opposite. There are no particular difficulties and the path crosses pastures that are full of flowers of all kinds in spring and summer.
Starting at the car park in Les Pueys, cross the road and start to walk up towards the Gros Niremont, past the Chalet des Errouvines (Les Rouvena). The path leads to the broad Niremont plateau and then to the cross on the summit. The panoramic view is spectacular, from the ridge of the Jura to Mont-Blanc, with a lovely glimpse of Lake Geneva. The path continues down towards the bucolic setting of La Cabane du Petit Oiseau, with its mini zoo, chapel and little train. This warm and friendly stop is perfect for recharging your batteries for the rest of the walk, including a giant game of frog and toad ‘snakes and ladders’ at La Gouille de Rathvel, returning to Les Pueys along the Creux de l’ours.
