General terms and conditions of sale – Events
Version of 29 August 2025
Booking Conditions
These general terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between the CLIENT (any individual or company participating in an event organised by the Regional Tourist Organisation) and the ORGANISER (the Association Les Paccots – La Veveyse Tourisme). Any sales contract for one or more events is concluded directly between the CLIENT and the ORGANISER at the time of booking.
Contract Formation and Services
The contract between the CLIENT and the ORGANISER is concluded upon confirmation of the booking. These general terms and conditions apply to all members of a group who have booked the event (e.g. co-participants in the activity).
Payment Terms
The CLIENT must pay the total amount of their participation in the event before it takes place. Payment may be made via the booking platform, at the Tourist Office desk (cash, credit card or TWINT), or by invoice issued by the SERVICE PROVIDER.
For groups of 10 people or more, the full amount must be paid no later than 4 days before the activity.
Modification and Cancellation of a Booking
A booking may only be modified by the CLIENT in the case where they wish to transfer their booking to another person. In case of cancellation of participation, no refund will be made and the invoice remains due.
Cancellation by the Organiser
The ORGANISER reserves the right to cancel an event before it begins, in particular in the case of insufficient registrations, adverse weather conditions, or for any other reason beyond its control. In such cases, the ORGANISER will inform participants as soon as possible and will refund the full amount paid. No compensation for damages or interests may be claimed in the event of cancellation.
Attendance, Participation and Delays
Participants are required to be present throughout the announced duration of the event and to comply with the communicated schedule.
In the event of a delay, particularly for an activity with a fixed departure time such as a hike, departure will take place at the scheduled time and the ORGANISER will not be obliged to wait for the CLIENT. The CLIENT must inform the ORGANISER of their delay as soon as possible. Delays, full or partial absences do not entitle the CLIENT to any refund or postponement of the activity.
Image Rights
During events, the ORGANISER may use the services of a photographer and/or videographer. By registering, the participant expressly authorises the ORGANISER to take photos and videos representing them in the context of the event in which they participate.
The participant consents to these images being used, published, or distributed free of charge, on any medium (website, social networks, posters, brochures, press releases, etc.), exclusively for the purpose of promoting the ORGANISER’s activities and events.
The rights of use granted to the ORGANISER extend to all legally recognised tourist organisations and service providers in the canton of Fribourg, to Fribourg Region and to Switzerland Tourism, as well as to national and international media, strictly for tourism purposes only.
Liability
The CLIENT participates in the event at their own risk and must have personal insurance coverage. The ORGANISER assumes no liability in case of accidents, damages (even due to negligence), or theft.
Data Protection
The ORGANISER may collect and process personal data provided by the CLIENT. This data is used solely for the purpose of providing services, offering proposals, and personalised information. Processing is justified by the performance of the contract binding the CLIENT to the ORGANISER.
Applicability and Specific Conditions
These general terms and conditions apply to all events organised by the ORGANISER. However, certain offers may be subject to specific conditions, which will be specified to the CLIENT and shall prevail in case of contradiction with these GTC.
Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
These general terms and conditions are subject to Swiss law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Châtel-St-Denis.
Severability Clause
If any provision of these GTC is declared null or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain fully valid and enforceable.
Entry into Force
These GTC apply as from 29 August 2025. They cancel and replace all previous versions.
