The Ski Club l’Étoile Grattavache Le Crêt is a friendly sports club offering activities related to snow sports, particularly cross-country skiing. Our goal is to promote skiing and community life in a warm, family atmosphere through training sessions, competitions, and various events for young and old alike.
The Ski Club L'Étoile de Grattavache-Le Crêt was founded in 1948 by a group of skiing enthusiasts. In 1970, it merged with the Ski Club Le Crêt to form the current entity. Located in the south of the canton of Fribourg, this club is particularly active in the practice and promotion of cross-country skiing.
With around 100 members, including more than 50 active members, the club makes it a point of honor to promote friendship and the enjoyment of skiing. It is also involved in educational initiatives such as introductory courses for local elementary schools.
The club organizes annual events such as the Étoile Cross-Country Skiing Half Marathon. It also participates in local and national competitions, such as the Fribourg Cup, the Engadin Marathon, and even the famous Vasaloppet.
The Crêt Nordic Center, managed by the club, offers cross-country ski trails suitable for classic and skating styles. A lighted trail even allows for evening skiing. This center is affiliated with Romandie Ski de Fond, a network of several Nordic ski centers in French-speaking Switzerland.
The club also places particular emphasis on training young people, with a varied training schedule that is accessible to all. It collaborates with other clubs to organize camps and competitions, thereby strengthening its role in the community life of the region.
