On your way to an authentic Fribourg culinary experience! Epicureans are also explorers. It's up to you to select the perfect spot along the trail to enjoy a fondue you've concocted yourself, thanks to the fondue kit we'll provide.
The route, ideal for families with child walkers, takes you from Rathvel to the summit of Niremont for an exceptional panoramic view. Stop off at the Cabane du Petit Oiseau to meet the farm animals.
The walk takes around 1 hour 45 minutes (excluding stops) and covers a total distance of 6.5 km.
Pleasures to enjoy along the way include:
- Buvette de Rathvel: Planchette du terroir
- During your walk: Fondue moitié-moitié
- Cabane du Petit Oiseau : Meringue and double cream

Pick up your fondue equipment and cheese at the Information Point in Les Paccots, then drive to the Rathvel parking lot (5 km from Les Paccots), where the tour starts.
The package does not include liquid for preparing the fondue. Please bring water, white wine, beer, or whatever you prefer. Don't forget to bring a blanket.
The Sentiers Gourmands concept includes the following points:
- Packages are available from the Tourist Office.
- Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance (due to weekly restaurant closures).
- Prices do not include drinks.
- Table selection is not possible, even during reservations.
- Please bring cash with you, as there is no ATM in Les Paccots.
