A major musical event in Estavayer-le-Lac with over 180 performers, four choirs, the Fribourg Chamber Orchestra and a soloist to celebrate the legacy of Estavayer composer Jules Marmier (1874–1975).
Under the direction of Pierre-Do Bourgknecht and Fabien Volery, the Concert du Siècle pays tribute to Jules Marmier with a lecture, a contemporary creation and a performance of his major work Jésus et le Centenier. Choirs from the region, an orchestra and soloist Jean-Luc Waeber unite their voices and instruments for a unique musical moment.
