Odile Gauthier and Adrian Fahrländer present their distinctive artistic worlds in an exhibition where vibrant monotypes meet silent sculptures. In Avry-devant-Pont, Odile combines ink and delicate paper to create intimate and lacustrine landscapes, while in Villarepos, Adrian shapes expressive blue figures from wood, evoking both inner life and raw presence. The artists will be present on June 6, 15, and 29 (Odile), and June 6 and 29 (Adrian).
Opening on June 6, 2025 – from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In her studio in Avry-devant-Pont, Odile Gauthier creates monotypes using ink on mulberry or rice paper, which she then mounts on canvas to bring out their full brilliance. Her black-and-white universe, occasionally touched with blue or red pastel, brings forth living, vibrant patterns that carry the viewer into the heart of a wave, along wind-swept shores, or into landscapes that sometimes reflect Lake Gruyère—her daily backdrop—and sometimes more introspective terrains. From the delicacy of the paper emerges a work that is both expansive and profound.
Odile will be present on June 6, 15, and 29.
In Villarepos, Adrian Fahrländer sculpts and paints, surrounded by blue beings—presences standing close to one another, busts on pedestals, or peering through the windows of his repurposed construction trailer studio, nestled in greenery. These figures, carved from fresh poplar or linden wood, are burned with a blowtorch to smooth them and bring out the grain, then covered with blue pigment or oil. They speak of silence, of awakening thought, of the impermeability of beings, and of their fragile humanity.
Adrian will be present on June 6 and 29.
