Discover Lake Schwarzsee while stand-up paddling from a new perspective. Enjoy the relaxing surroundings of the mountain lake and experience unforgettable moments on the water.
Stand Up Paddling (SUP) has its roots in Polynesian fishermen who moved across the sea standing in canoes off the coast of Tahiti. In Hawaii, the birthplace of surfing, Stand Up Paddling was the sport of kings – and only a select few were allowed to move standing up. In the 20th century, Hawaiian surf instructors rediscovered Paddle boarding as a means of transport. With the elevated position, students could be better observed, and by using the paddle, the distances between the shore and the breaking reefs were quickly covered.
Today, Paddle boarding, alongside windsurfing and surfing, is a rapidly growing leisure and trend sport, as it can be practised without wind or waves. At Lake Schwarzsee, Paddle boarding offers the perfect combination of nature experience, movement, and relaxation. Surrounded by the impressive backdrop of the Fribourg Pre-Alps, this idyllic mountain lake invites you to glide over its calm waters and fully enjoy the unique atmosphere. With paddleboards in various sizes, Paddle boarding is suitable for the whole family.
