Fribourg Tourism and Region is partnering with FudLäb to offer a unique nighttime experience blending gastronomy, heritage, and creativity.
On February, 6th and 7th
For one evening, rediscover Fribourg’s medieval fortifications through an illuminated and animated trail, punctuated by tastings of Fribourg-style fondue in both its traditional and contemporary interpretations.
This initiative brings together two essential forms of heritage in the canton: culinary heritage, showcased through fondue and local products, and architectural heritage, highlighted by the enhancement of the towers and ramparts.
Fribourg, a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, launched a ‘Creativity and Gastronomy’ call for projects, which became the foundation for the creation of ‘Fondue de Tours’. Through its collaboration with FudLäb, creativity takes center stage in the event while preserving tradition with fondue, a true pillar of Fribourg’s gastronomy.
What’s included
- Creative bites by FudLäb served during the walk
- 2 glasses of wine + 1 original drink (a selection of alcohol-free alternative beverages)
- Illuminated installations highlighting the fortifications
- A return to tradition with authentic moitié-moitié fondue, served with a welcome drink
- Bar at the final stop in the Bourg district (drinks not included)
Fondue de Tours is built around a sensory and gourmet itinerary, set within a medieval backdrop enhanced by light.

⚠️The route includes many stairs, so good physical condition is recommended.
🧣A large part of the tour takes place outdoors, so it is essential to dress according to the weather conditions.
