The CA Rosé Orienteering Club is pleased to organize this year's LOM – Swiss Long Distance Orienteering Championship, which will take place on Sunday, September 7, in the hills above Romont, on Lussy Mountain (race center at the military parade ground, near the shooting range).
This event, which is part of the national orienteering calendar, is a must-see event of the season. It will bring together the best Swiss specialists and attract participants from all over the country. This discipline requires both good physical endurance and an excellent sense of direction. However, the championship is open to everyone: children, adults, seasoned athletes and those who are simply curious. It is a great opportunity to discover a sport that is still relatively unknown to the general public.
Ahead of the championship, two introductory races will be offered to allow the general public to discover orienteering in a friendly and accessible atmosphere. A race requiring registration (Model-Event) will take place on Saturday for those who are curious or anyone wishing to participate, whether or not they have a connection to the sport. This race is also a form of training for Sunday's participants. This time, the race centre will be at the Châtonnaye forest hut. You will find all the necessary information on the club's and race's websites.
