Through ink, charcoal and watercolour, animals emerge, like beings from another world.
"It all began in the margins of my school notebooks. A few scribbled lines to help me listen more closely, to feel more deeply.
For me, drawing is an inner space, a place where I give form to my thoughts. Animals feature naturally in my work – without masks, without pretence – their emotions are whole and genuine.
Through ink, charcoal and watercolour, I seek to capture this authenticity, this silent presence that moves us without us always knowing why."
Opening: Friday 5.30pm
Biography
Camille Cornu, a self-taught artist who grew up in Romont. She has been drawing since childhood, exploring different forms of expression such as pottery from a very early age.
After a period away from art due to her studies and professional life, she returned to drawing three years ago through art therapy. Her practice then became an intimate space, where she expresses her emotions and gives form to her inner world.
