Guided Hike – Secrets of Useful Plants

Learn to recognize the wild plants that surround us!

Activity organized in partnership with the Tourist Office of Romont and its region, for the FribourgRando guidebook.
We can eat them and they heal us. During this hike starting from Villaz-st-Pierre, led by Cathy Roggen-Crausaz, a mountain guide, and Emanuel Roggen, a passionate botanist and pharmacist, we will discover plants that are edible and/or beneficial to our health. We will learn how to distinguish between edible and toxic plants, as well as how to use some medicinal plants along the way. Through stories and anecdotes, we will learn to recognize the main herbs for the first aid kit and the pantry of nature.
