Promasens church and its stained glass windows by the St-Luc Group
Only in french
For the sixth year running, the Tourist Office of Romont and its region is organizing public guided tours of the region's churches, followed by a tasting of local produce.
Between the wars, Fernand Dumas and Alexandre Cingria founded the St-Luc group, with Romont as their headquarters. Surrounded by architects, glass painters, mosaicists and other artists, their mission was to bring sacred art back to life. Accompanied by a guide, discover some of their masterpieces: the stained glass windows of the Saints-Pierre-et-Paul church in Promasens. The alternation between historiated and abstract stained-glass windows is successful; the latter provide the transitions needed to move seamlessly from one subject or artist to another. A tasting of local produce brings this colorful afternoon to a close.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
