Gio Mongodi is a modern jazz quartet from Fribourg founded by Giordano Mongodi, a composer and trumpeter.
Giordano Mongodi’s compositions spring from the melodic warmth of his trumpet and take shape through collective arrangements. The four musicians engage in a musical dialogue over jazzy rhythms, diving into the groove before resurfacing to breathe in the colours of the blues. Guided by the bond between themselves and the audience, they offer us spellbinding and poetic compositions, as well as covers that have found a place in our hearts.
