European Heritage Day
In her short presentation at the Vitromusée Romont, Sophie Wolf will give you an overview of the fascinating history of flat glass production and its use in architecture through the centuries. She will then take you on a pleasant hour-long walk through the historic centre of the town, during which you will discover examples of windows and glazing from different periods. These windows are distinguished not only by their appearance and age, but also by the use of different types of glass and manufacturing techniques. In addition to technical and energy-related issues, topics such as aesthetics and the preservation of historic windows will be discussed. You are invited to participate in the discussion on site.
