This year, explore Mont Gibloux and its geological history at nightfall !
Activity organized by the Tourist Office of Romont and its region, on the occasion of the Swiss Hiking Night.
- Saturday 20 July 2024, 7pm to 11pm, Villarsiviriaux
The Gibloux is the highest peak on the Fribourg plateau, 1205m. Covered in ice between minus 30 and minus 20 thousand years B.C., The Gibloux is home to a large number of erratic boulders left behind by the retreating Rhône glacier. So what do these thousands of years represent in the history of the Earth and of human beings? Conditions permitting, a torchlight descent will add a little more magic to the moment.
Chalet soup will be served en route.
