In the castle forest above the village of Heitenried is a chapel carved out of rock in 1700.
It is popularly known as the Forest Chapel and is dedicated to St Magdalene.
In addition to the chapel, there are also two prayer huts, each sheltering a picture from the Passion of Jesus.
