Due to last week’s rainfall, as well as current and forecast weather conditions, the forest fire risk in the canton of Fribourg has been downgraded from level 4 out of 5 (high) to level 3 out of 5 (significant). Controlled fires are once again permitted at designated fire pits, but measures and restrictions remain in place in forests, depending on the local risk level. Open fires are strictly prohibited.
The fire pits around Schwarzsee may therefore be used again, provided they are used safely and responsibly. We ask all visitors to act responsibly. (Updated: 28 August 2026)
