The Santiklous parade in Plaffeien is a traditional family event featuring Santiklous and many accompanying characters.
During the parade, animals, Gysler, Trychler, shepherds, angels, dwarves, and Schmutzlis accompany Santiklous and his donkey through Plaffeien. After the parade, Santiklous gives a short speech at the Hirschen restaurant. Afterward, the children can greet him and recite their little poems. Each child receives a gingerbread cookie.
