Welcome to your dream holiday apartment high above Schwarzsee! The modern penthouse apartment in a new building from 2020 is located in a sunny and quiet spot – a place to breathe deeply and to enjoy. Whether you are a nature lover, sports enthusiast or seeking peace and quiet: everyone will find here what they are looking for. Particularly impressive are the absolute silence at night and the unforgettable starry sky – a “dark sky” experience you won’t soon forget.
The holiday apartment, located on the top floor of the residential building, is designed barrier-free and is easily accessible by elevator. The apartment is bright, spacious and designed with lots of wood, which creates a warm, cosy atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. Thanks to the high standard of construction and the thoughtful furnishings, no wishes remain unfulfilled. The open-plan kitchen with a cooking island is fully equipped and offers everything you need for enjoyable cooking moments together: dishwasher, oven, microwave, Nespresso capsule coffee machine, kettle, blender, toaster as well as raclette and fondue sets. The adjoining living and dining area offers a large dining table, a comfortable sofa, and an inviting window seat from which you can enjoy the view. In addition, the apartment offers high-speed internet and cable TV.
For restful nights, three bedrooms are available: two of them are equipped with TWIN beds (90 × 200 cm), which can flexibly be set up as a double bed. The third bedroom has a double bed (180 × 200 cm) with two mattresses (90 × 200 cm). If required, there is also space for a baby cot.
The two bathrooms are modernly equipped and offer great comfort. One has a shower, bathtub, toilet, and double sink, the second has a toilet, shower, and sink.
A special highlight of the apartment is the 32 m² sun terrace. Here you can start the morning with a rich breakfast in the sun or end the evening relaxed with views of the mountains and the lake. Comfortable garden furniture, three sun beds and an electric grill provide for relaxing hours outdoors.
Practical extras such as a private ski and bike room make the holiday apartment ideal for active guests who want to enjoy nature during summer or winter.
One covered and one open parking space in front of the house are available to you free of charge.
This oasis of well-being can be booked for a minimum stay of 3 nights.
Information about the Surroundings
At the foot of the Fribourg Pre-Alps, where gentle hills alternate with proud mountain peaks, lies Schwarzsee – a small natural paradise. Here, the water sparkles in the sunlight, cows graze on the blooming alpine meadows and the fresh mountain air lets you breathe deeply.
You live in an environment that offers tranquillity yet provides everything you need. Nearby there is a small grocery store (Volg), a lovely café with breakfast, coffee and cake, as well as various restaurants and mountain inns. Particularly popular are the local specialities: crispy Brätzele, flavoursome cheese, hearty fondue or the famous meringues with double cream – a true delight after a day in nature. In the alpine huts, you can also buy fresh cheese, double cream and the typical fondue mix to take back for a cosy evening in your holiday apartment.
Activities and Nature
The region invites you to be outdoors:
- Easy walking trails lead around the lake – ideal for families or a relaxed afternoon outing.
- Those who want to go higher will find many hikes up to challenging mountain tours. The view from Schwyberg or Kaiseregg remains unforgettable.
- With the Kaisereggbahn you can comfortably reach Riggisalp – from there you can enjoy a panorama that stretches far across the hills and peaks.
For families there are special experiences:
- Exciting adventures along the Häxenweg
- Cheerful play in the park
- A cosy picnic at one of the many fireplaces around the lake
In summer, the lake invites you to swim, row, or stand-up paddle, while in winter the region turns into a small snow paradise with ski slopes, sledging runs, winter hiking trails, and snowshoe tours.
Just a few steps from your accommodation is the bus stop with connections to Plaffeien and Fribourg.
