Focus on sustainability: Biblio-Kafi meets Repair Café
On Saturday, 8 November, the city library invites you to Biblio-Kafi – this time with a focus on sustainability.
The Repair Café, which usually opens its doors regularly next to the old fire station, will be our guest. Volunteers with specialist skills will be there to repair electronic devices, clothing and other everyday items with great dedication – and they will be doing so this Saturday from 10 a.m. onwards, right here in the library. We are particularly delighted that a specialist book repairer will also be on hand to breathe new life into damaged favourite books.
Anyone who would like to have an item repaired is asked to register in advance with Yvonne Meyer on 079 511 60 61 and briefly describe what needs to be repaired. This will help to avoid unnecessary waiting times.
As always, the Biblio-Kafi offers an opportunity to chat over coffee and pastries – this time on the topic of sustainability and repairing instead of throwing away.
