This year, the picturesque town of Murten was named “Swiss Village of the Year 2024” by the readers of Schweizer Illustrierte, L’illustré and La Domenica.
Murten came out on top against five other finalist villages and impressed voters with its outstanding location and remarkable architecture. The competition to determine the most beautiful village in Switzerland allowed all residents of the country to cast their vote to decide the winner.
