Straddling the boundary between jazz and classical music, BORDER JAZZ brings together two musical worlds: the classical saxophonist Nicolas Prost and the jazz pianist Sébastien Paindestre.
Together, they present an extraordinary repertoire that bridges sophisticated composition and the freedom of improvisation. The works were composed especially for their duo by leading figures from the worlds of jazz and contemporary music. Wayne Shorter, Branford Marsalis, Ibrahim Maalouf, Richard Galliano, Michel Portal, Avishai Cohen and Baptiste Trotignon are among the many artists who have contributed to this unique musical universe.
BORDER JAZZ is an original music project, performed across Europe and internationally, in which the saxophone and piano blur the boundaries between genres. An exciting musical encounter that you can discover during an intimate concert in the warm, candlelit atmosphere of Château Salavaux.
