Impressions of Switzerland: Group photography exhibition in Murten
From 7 to 29 November 2026, fifteen photographers will be exhibiting their personal photographic perspectives on Switzerland at the Gallery Pellegrini.
One of them is Urs Albrecht, who lives in the canton of Fribourg.
What does Switzerland look like through the eyes of such a diverse group of photographers?
The group exhibition ‘Impressions of Switzerland’ brings together the work of fifteen dedicated photographers, all of whom are members of the Swiss Section of the Royal Photographic Society. Their images span a wide range of photographic genres and styles, illustrating the richness and diversity of contemporary photography.
Although each photographer brings their own individual perspective to the exhibition, all the works are linked by a common theme: every image was photographed or created in Switzerland. Familiar and unexpected impressions take visitors on a varied visual journey through Swiss landscapes, places, people, details and abstract ideas. Rather than offering a single definition of Switzerland, the exhibition presents a diverse selection of personal experiences and artistic interpretations.
‘Impressions of Switzerland’ is on display at the Pellegrini Gallery in Murten. The opening reception will take place on 6 November from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm. The exhibition will then run from 7 to 29 November 2026.
