For this concert, the StradivariEnsemble brings together Stefan Tarara on the violin, Lech Antonio Uszynski on the viola, Maja Weber on the cello and Nolven Bargin on the flute for a programme of works for flute quartet.
The evening is primarily dedicated to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and features two of his works for this ensemble: the Flute Quartet in A major, K. 298, comprising an Andante with variations, a Menuetto and a Rondeau; and the Flute Quartet in D major, K. 285, with the movements Allegro, Adagio and Rondeau.
Between these two works by Mozart, the ensemble will perform Ferdinand Ries’s Flute Quartet in D minor, WoO 35 No. 1, in four movements: Allegro, Adagio con moto, Scherzo and Finale.
A programme featuring works by Mozart and Ries, which you can enjoy at Château Salavaux during a concert lit entirely by candlelight.
