Half an hour of organ music over lunchtime with Johannes Fankhauser on the subject of "Improvisation according to the wishes of the audience". We are already looking forward to the request concert.
Johannes Fankhauser begann 2001 an der Musikhochschule Basel bei Thomas Larcher das Klavierstudium, welches er 2005 mit dem Lehrdiplom abschloss. Danach trat er in die Orgelklasse von Guy Bovet ein und erwarb im Juni 2008 das Konzertdiplom. Seine sich schon in der Kindheit zeigende Fähigkeit zur Improvisation entwickelte er weiter durch Besuche von Meisterkursen, vor allem bei Vincent Warnier, Organist an Saint-Etienne du Mont in Paris. Heute ist er freischaffender Musiker und lebt in Therwil (BL). Am 28. September 2023 erhielt er den 1. Preis am internationalen Wettbewerb für Orgelimprovisation in Köln.

Midi Musique: The popular organ concerts in the German Church take place every 2nd Saturday from May to September at midday (from 12.00 noon). They last about 1/2 hour and are performed by organists from Germany and abroad. The organiser and artistic director is Tatjana Fuog.
The Midi Musique series has existed since EXPO.02 and is now part of the cultural programme in Murten; it takes place on the same day as the traditional Brocante arts and crafts market.
