The open-air festival for classical music in Murten! Treat yourself to an unforgettable evening close to the musicians.
Since 1989, the Murten Classics summer festival has presented up to 30 classical music concerts in the picturesque village of Murten. Musicians come from all over the world to perform a unique programme under the direction of Christoph-Mathias Mueller, the festival's artistic director.
The Murten Castle courtyard, with its unique view of Lake Murten and the sunset, is the main venue for the festival. Other venues are located in Münchenwiler Castle and at various locations in Murten. The small venues, with only 90 to 448 seats per concert, create a particularly intimate atmosphere.

The concerts take place come rain or shine. In case of rain, depending on the concert date and location (Murten or Münchenwiler), the performance will be held in a church. This is noted in the program.

Box office :
The box office is open 60 minutes (concerts in the Schlosshof Murten) and 30 minutes (other concerts) before the start of each concert.
