Music that transcends boundaries: this unique concert project focuses on Mozart's Requiem, performed by the Capriccio Baroque Orchestra, soloists Sophie Marielley, Charles Sudan, Jonathan Spicher and Simon Ruffieux, and 100 choristers.
In the first part, the choirs explore the festival theme of ‘Liberté | Freedom’ with selected a cappella works. Mozart's Requiem then unfolds in all its sonic splendour.
What makes Murten special is a 360° singing experience – voices resound simultaneously from the gallery and the altar of the German Church, filling the space from all sides. A rare, moving sound experience that cannot be ‘made up for later’.
