There are 55 days and 5,358 kilometres between Trondheim and Santiago de Compostela.
In the summer of 2026, Antonia Bartilla will set off on her bike.
In the summer of 2026, I’ll set off on my cycling pilgrimage from outside Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim. I’ll sleep in a tent, cycle through seven countries, enjoy the freedom, push myself to my limits and meet all sorts of people along the way. After 55 days and 5,358 km, I’ll stand in front of the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I’ll take you with me along the roads, over mountain passes, through the rain and right into the little stories along the way. I’ll tell you about encounters, detours and tired legs. About strangers who put me up for the night and invite me to their table. About an irrepressible joy that keeps me moving forward every day. And about the trust that grows when I don’t know what lies beyond the next bend.
What does it mean to be on the road? What happens when we can’t plan everything and simply go with the flow? And what remains after a journey like this?
These three evenings will explore these questions – each at 7.30 pm in the parish hall. You’re very welcome.
