From 3 to 20 August 2025, works by Peter Dängeli will be on display at LACabane in Murten. The artist from Köniz shows abstract, three-dimensional compositions that fascinate with their variety of materials, colour harmony and graphic clarity.
Dängeli's work emerges from the tension between planning and chance. Using bitumen cardboard, polystyrene, lacquer, glue or objects found in industry or nature, he experiments with form, structure and surface. He creates certain effects in a targeted way - leaving others to chemical reaction or flame. In this way, each work becomes a unique piece with its own character.
As a trained graphic designer, Dängeli has a keen sense of composition, contrast and proportion. He sees his artistic creation as a creative balance to his daily professional life - a free field for research, experimentation and creation. The paintings are generally untitled - the scope for interpretation is left entirely to the public.
At LACabane, the works are grouped by theme, creating a quiet order despite the diversity of formats and colours. An invitation to look, to discover and to lose oneself.
