Between newcomer and old-timer
Simon Enzler is "zmetztinne". Too old to be considered a newcomer, too young to be an old-timer, he is at a crucial point in his life. He is turning 50, and because he was already on stage at the tender age of 15, he can now look back over three and a half decades as an attentive observer and eloquent regular.
How does he see himself, his profession and his environment? How do you deal with the signs of dwindling youth and growing dioptres? How do you stay on course in the white water of the present? How much future is there in it? You don't know. - Enzler is rowing. And has been for years. But that's exactly what gives him confidence. Because even if a rower is inevitably looking backwards, he is still making progress.
