During your hike between Faoug and Murten, you will cross the three cantons of Vaud, Bern and Fribourg one after the other.

This hike starts at Faoug station and takes you through the Bois de Mottey to the hamlet of Kaferli, a former Bernese enclave that became both Fribourg and Moravian on 1 January 2022. In Courgevaux, a citadel called "Le Châtelard" used to tower over the village. From there you reach the Bernese enclave of Münchenwiler, proud of its castle, a former Cluniac site that is now a hotel. Via the foot of the Bois Domingue, you finally reach the canton of Fribourg again and Murten railway station.
