A misunderstanding, and Émile finds himself caught up in a story about outsourcing. A lively performance that, under the guise of humour and strategies, deeply explores the impact of a factory closure.
Made in France - A Quirky Chronicle of a Factory Closure
The Pursuit of Blue
Theatre
After several years in prison, Émile is granted a modified sentence: days at the factory, nights at the detention centre. But as soon as he arrives at the factory, the announcement of its relocation is made. From misunderstandings to manipulations, he transforms into a fervent unionist, not only to save himself, but also his colleagues, the factory, and perhaps even the country itself.
With a constantly shifting backdrop and a score mimicking the atmosphere of a political battle, this rhythmic and highly comedic show explores the impact of industrial upheaval. A satire as quirky as it is poignant, depicting the struggle of men and women in the face of a factory closure.
