The exhibition is inaugurated in the presence of the Kalyna choir, composed of Ukrainian refugees. Based in Bulle, the choir's mission is to gather and preserve Ukrainian traditions while promoting integration through singing French songs and engaging with the Swiss public.
In Ukrainian, her first name means "foreigner" and "traveller". Indeed, the visual artist Oksana Savardii, based in Romont, has always nurtured a thought of the elsewhere. Having arrived in Switzerland at the beginning of the war, she casts an enchanting gaze upon the landscapes, reaffirming the beauty of the lakes, mountains, and vegetation. Her paintings, characterized by curves and veins, bring to life colourful and turbulent impressions of nature, as well as very expressive portraits and still lifes.
