For over thirty years, Albertine has been drawing for the press, illustrating children's books, creating objects, posters, and films. Among her favourite themes is dance.
In her frescoes or portraits where detail reigns, bodies twist and merge, hair bristles, and noses slide into loving napes. At the heart of her black-and-white subjects or, on the contrary, ultra-colourful, groovy or sensual, she has the talent to evoke with wild vibrancy the awkwardness of a first slow dance, the magnetism of a final tango, or the eccentricity of a grand ball. So... shall we dance?
This dancing retrospective brings together drawings created over the past six years for various exhibitions.
