Sometimes amusing, sometimes furious, water occupies our conversations, memories, and sometimes even our sorrows. A documentary piece about the great floods based on testimonies that speaks of floods, chaos, and resilience.
Nothing but Water - Production d’Avril
Documentary theatre
Water seeps everywhere: in our conversations, our shoes, our games, our memories. At times, this vital element takes on a dramatic dimension. In 2024, severe floods and destructive surges affected many regions of Switzerland. Based on testimonies, Nothing but Water? explores their impact on those who experienced them.
The new creation by Production d’Avril meets with disaster victims and brings their voices to the stage. A documentary theatre piece, as moving as it is informative, addressing floods and landscapes, chaos and resilience – and what we forgive water, despite everything.
