Animae Colores
Mirjam Erny and Dani Tröhler are exhibiting their artwork at the Pellegrini Gallery from 6 to 27 June under the title ‘Animae Colores’.
Both artists love both the playful expression of colours and contrasts and the diverse forms found in nature.
As teenagers, they attended the same secondary school in Lucerne, but then went their separate ways. It was not until 20 years later that they met again and fell in love at a class reunion in Lucerne.
Both pursued a career in the arts alongside their main professions.
Mirjam Erny, a nursery and primary school teacher, regularly attended the School of Design in Bern and works as a freelance illustrator and painter. She frequently curates exhibitions. Her preferred techniques are oil painting and silk painting, usually in large formats.
Daniel Tröhler, a trained architectural draughtsman and plasterer, spends his free time creating beautiful mosaic tables using a technique all his own and delicate forms, which until now could only be discovered and admired in private homes.
For both of them, creative work became more and more of a passion, and so the thought arose, then the idea, and now the realisation: to organise a joint exhibition.
Animae Colores – that is the name of their exhibition; it aims to inspire and delight viewers with its interplay of colours and forms, and to provide an opportunity for imagination and daydreaming.
