The exhibition has been extended due to the huge interest generated!
Who is still familiar with these car, engine and motorbike brands:
Henriod, Zedel (Zürcher & Lüthi), Berna, Moser, Martini, Sna (Société Neuchâtelois D'automobiles), Cosmos, La Colombe, M.V. (Müller & Vogel), Wavre and Allegro?
All these brands produced their motor vehicles or engines within a 30km radius of Murten between 1884 and 1924. The temporary exhibition focuses on the inventors and pioneers of these brands, their ideas and the way in which they wanted to create a new product that was as good as possible within their means. The inventive spirit of this period is also well reflected in the different designs and products that emerged from this local production.
Some of these brands, such as Moser, Zedel and Martini, were also well known in the world of national and international motor racing.
The extended exhibition once again features a number of interesting and rare items, including the tea service for the winner of the 1902 Paris-Vienna race by the manufacturer Ernest Zürcher (on the poster) and the legendary Berna Idéal (Vis-à-vis) from 1902.
